Prime 1 Care’s existing service information includes allied health enquiries. Tell the team the discipline or assistance you are seeking, your location and whether you already have a treating therapist.
Confirm the practitioner and scope
Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics, exercise physiology and psychology involve different qualifications and scopes of practice. Confirm the actual practitioner, credentials, service, funding and availability before booking.
Therapy assistance is different from therapy
A support worker or allied health assistant does not replace a qualified therapist. Any assistance with a therapy program needs a clear plan, appropriate delegation where required and defined supervision.
Mental health treatment
Do not assume that disability or psychosocial support includes psychological therapy, psychotherapy or psychiatric care. Any regulated health service must be separately confirmed with an appropriately qualified practitioner.
