Nursing care in everyday settings
Prime 1 Care’s nursing services include enquiries about wound care, medication support, continence and catheter care, enteral feeding and support after a hospital stay. The exact task and availability must be assessed and confirmed.
Registered nursing and clinical responsibilities
Discuss the required nursing qualifications, care plan, clinical instructions and who is responsible for oversight. A nursing service should have a clear scope, visit schedule and process for reviewing changes.
Work with existing care
With consent, planning can involve the participant’s GP, hospital, allied health professionals, carers and other providers. Clarify which team provides clinical advice and how relevant information is shared.
Mental health and complex needs
Nursing enquiries may include medication routines, wellbeing observations and coordination with existing mental health clinicians. Nursing support does not automatically include psychotherapy or psychiatric treatment.
